I've always been interested in geology and rock collecting. I earned a degree in geology in 2010. Since then, I have worked on the curatorial staff of a natural history museum, taught university and high school geology classes, led geology field trips around Arizona and Connecticut, and worked in a variety of analytical laboratories. Engaging the public in earth science education events and demonstrations is a hobby of mine.
My first meteorite was a small Odessa that I bought when I was a kid. I was so happy when I found it in a museum gift shop. However, I didn't start collecting meteorites in earnest until I was in college. It's so fascinating to me that they are samples of distant objects from all over our solar system that allow mankind to study pieces of other worlds. The theme of my collection tends to focus on the educational and scientific value of these specimens. I want to learn as much as I can about the stories they have to tell, and then share that knowledge with others.
