MOHAMED ELGUIRAH has been a hunter and collector of meteorites since 2005 finding his first meteorite when he was only 15 years old. His cultural identity is Amazigh and lives in Zagora, Morocco where he is married with family. Mohamed is vice president in the Moroccan Association of Meteorites as well as being involved with the Professional Association of Mineral Stones and Insecticides Medalat. The Meteorites Mohamed procures are found or purchased from finders or dealers in the desert areas of Zagora, Laayoune, Tata, Foum Zguid, Dakhla, Boujdor, Smara, Tan Tan and more. Mohamed says it usually takes a team of hunters about 15 long days in the desert before the first meteorite is found.
